RNO….

Irish also had a disagreement with the local Chinese Food take out in Tottsville a few years ago regarding the value of a US Dollar……He thought they should take it for Par…but they found it worthless and wouldnt take it at all

:)

sckpak, in my opinion the stuff you posted at 15:01, asking for opinions from those who live in Canada, does not even deserve a response. Cheers. Equiz.

irish has left

for chicagoland. he will be back friday. he operated on the perimeter of being a redneck today. he and farmgal didn’t get along too well with one of the local hamburger joints. good thing they haven’t been there at the same time. tonight we went to the oldest eating joint in oklahoma. irish even downed a pickle, onion and bread sandwich. i think he may keep the windows down through joplin or until his system “neutralizes”.

NYC hot dog vendor evicted over whopping rent bill

Aug 8th, 2009 | NEW YORK — Homeowners aren’t the only ones in hot water over overpriced real estate. A New York City hot dog vendor has been evicted from his prize spot outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art because he couldn’t pay a whopping rent bill of nearly $54,000 a month.

Snack cart owner Pasang Sherpa of Queens had a deal with the city’s parks department that required him to pay almost

He says he was $310,000 behind on his payments when he was evicted.

The Parks Department had auctioned off the rights to the spot last year.

Kentucky…………Confusing……..you betcha.

This whole system has been constructed using every means to confuse the most, the most of the time, and there are enough variables that are changed at will to prevent an easy comparison of one time-frame to another.  Yet, if you strip things down to only one variable, then the cycles repeat very nicely over long periods of time using a constant multiplier.

[g] a more simple life then…but more difficult too in its own way sorta. best wj

Fully

Do they do medical research up there?  We get the impression that the US funds and performs most of the drug and medical research.  That may be in error.

A baby doctor in the US pays over  $80,000 per year in malpractice insurance.  Does the government pick up the cost of liability?

Kentucky

…Yes Malpractice still can be filed….

…BTW we have some World Class Hospitals up here..

….No dental care is not included…except for emergency care for those on welfare …from the Local Municipalities

Fully, healthcare, is a lot like schools, or any other discipline.

So much depends on the calibre of the people, rather than the system.  90% of a good hospital, or school, or mechanics workshop, is the staff.  When a hospital gets a bad reputation, they can’t attract good staff, and so the spiral begins.  Unfortunately with hospitals, and increasingly with schools, the staff that really affect the overall quality of the institution are administrators.  Get rid of the administrators and improve the quality of care.

Fullgoldcrown

If the US could go  to a Canadian system I would be  for it.  Does your system allow for malpractice?  What about dental coverage?

I always enjoy your posts.  I must admit I do not understand all you say but that is OK because I do not understand all I think.  Oh Well!!!  I just stay confused.

The chart of NGD is very instructive to me.  It looks like alot of junior golds.  They are going up.

…Welcome back…good to see you posting again…

Sckpak…

….First of all thank you for your comments regarding goldtent….we are thrilled with the calibre of posts lately…and its getting better and better with the likes of you.

….Secondly…regarding that Video re Canadian Healthcare….They went to a suburb of Montreal….this is the same Hospital that Mme Crowns Mother was taken to when she was very ill a few years back…It is very bad….3rd world actually….but In Ontario where I live we have a terrific Hospital in our small town …Emergency care is of course always a little ordeal..but an hour or two max….and very good doctors in general….I have a family Doctor I can get to see any weekday and there are many walk in clinics…

….I have never really had a problem with the health care system…Blood Tests and X rays can be booked and done immediately on request by a physician….sure some procedures seem to require an inordinate time (weeks or months) to get done…and for sure Winedoc and his Associates are WAY underpaid…its not perfect….but I think that crew probably went to the Worst of the worst areas in the country to get their info !…

I am sure Winedoc will have a better perspective…He BTW actually still makes House Calls If you beleive that..and that is still covered by the System…ask him what he gets paid to deliver a baby…you wont believe it !

as an aside…20 years ago the Doctors in our area opted out of the Healthcare System…..and they lost 90% of their business….Nobody would pay their modest fees even for a check up…we are used to Free Medical care here and expect it no matter what !

all in all I beleive the system works pretty well…so far…Yes our taxes are higher than yours…but the Healthcare System is still worth it IMHO

The report that I saw said there were 9 killed in the mid-air crash.

Not a police helicopter in collision. It was a private helicopter.
